Tradex helps Lloyds TSB save its suppliers time and money
Causeway Technologies, a leading supplier of software solutions to the construction industry, has signed an agreement with Lloyds TSB (LTSB). Causeway Tradex will connect LTSB with its suppliers via the Tradex electronic trading service. By exchanging and storing documents electronically, LTSB will significantly reduce administrative costs and the time spent tracking documents and handling queries. At the same time, this project increases the range of trade facilitation services LTSB is able to provide to a growing number of customers, under the brand name Vantage.
Office Depot is the first from an initial group of suppliers with whom LTSB plans to trade electronically before expanding the service to all of its suppliers. Initial testing has been successfully completed and a "live" pilot stage has already commenced. Office Depot's Credit Manager, John Wheeler welcomes the move. "As the leading office products supplier Office Depot is always keen to be at the forefront of new technology developments. Office Depot and Lloyds TSB have a long trading history and so we were very happy to be part of this pilot scheme, which we believe will lead to greater trading efficiencies resulting in significant cost savings. This project was a great opportunity to work with one of our major customers to increase the scope of electronic trading for both businesses. The Tradex service represents an important step in the quest for a seamless electronic trading environment."
Rod Bayne-Jardine, Senior Product Manager for Vantage, added "Meeting the stringent requirements set by LTSB has meant that Causeway Technologies has advanced Tradex's functionality in many ways, which will also be of benefit to customers using Vantage's own eInvoicing service, which uses the Tradex platform."
Tim Cole, Director of Causeway Technologies added "Lloyds TSB has a clear vision for the use of electronic information exchange and how this can streamline the trading process. This vision has helped drive forward the development of Tradex to become a world class service that can support companies of all sizes as they seek to trade more effectively. This investment will unlock further benefits to Lloyds TSB as well as to its supply chain partners."
