Causeway hosts E-Trading Showcase in association with Amec & Cemex

Causeway Technologies, a leading supplier of software solutions to the construction industry, is hosting an E-Trading Showcase in association with two of the industries most prestigious organsiations, Amec Plc and CEMEX UK on the 11th May 2006.

Entitled ‘Remove the Costly Paper Chase’; the event will highlight the significant cost savings that can be achieved through the adoption of E-Trading technologies within construction. At the heart of all business operations lie the sourcing, procurement and administration of materials and service items. Due to high volumes of paper purchase orders, invoices and dispatch notes, traditional processing methods result in numerous man-hours spent re-keying, checking and archiving documents. E-Trading is a cost effective solution to the problem, allowing supply chain partners to exchange electronic trading documents between their existing back office finance and procurement systems.

Tim Cole, Director at Causeway comments, “Our E-Trading solution, Causeway Tradex, is becoming widely recognised within the industry as an extremely cost effective, flexible and easy to use tool. Causeway Tradex customers are reporting significant cost savings as a direct result of using the system. One customer has reported a reduction in processing costs from £12 to £4.40 per invoice and a reduction in handling times from 8 to 4 days. They have also increased the volume of trading with one of their primary customers by 300% from £2 million to £6 million as a direct result of efficient trading capabilities.
