Causeway & Aggregate Industries Scoop IT Award

Causeway and top materials firm Aggregate Industries are winners of the IT Showcase Award for Best Connected Construction Project, which focused on the successful roll out of the Tradex electronic trading solution for Aggregate Industries’ comprehensive supply chain.

The project stood out against many other entries for its innovation and the significant business process improvements for Aggregate Industries and was announced at last weeks awards hosted at the industry’s largest event Interbuild 2007. Gavin Kite, eTrading Manager at Aggregate Industries and Duncan Speight, Tradex Business Manager at Causeway, were present at the NEC show to accept the trophies.

IT Showcase Awards recognise the best IT projects in the industry with 6 categories covering a whole range of software products and business processes.  The awards are judged by IT Construction Forum (part of Constructing Excellence), Construct IT for Business and the Editor of IT Showcase News.  Causeway and Aggregate Industries partnered to enter the Best Connected Construction Project award with a detailed entry covering the roll out and benefits of the Tradex electronic trading solution.

Highlights of the benefits for Aggregate Industries using Tradex include:

Reduced debtor days
Improved cash flow position
Reduced transaction processing costs by 95%.
Saving approximately £3 in costs for every transaction that is processed via Tradex
